Dropping your makeup on a hard floor is a heart-wrenching moment. As it hits the floor and you see that your favorite blusher is now in pieces… But have no fear if you have surgical spirits near! (lol!)
Surgical spirits is also known as rubbing alcohol, it is a cheap, easy and great way to fix your broken blushers, pressed powders or eye shadows. In a few steps, you can fix your makeup and have it as good as new.
- Surgical spirits (rubbing alcohol)
- Syringe (optional)
- Metal spatula, spoon or knife
- Broken makeup
You want to make sure whatever surface you are working on is protected from the surgical spirits, as this can strip paint.
Break up any large unbroken pieces of powder with your knife or spatula. (You want a loose powder consistency.)
Slowly add a little surgical spirits to your broken makeup at a time, making sure you mix it well. (Stop once it is a paste consistency.)
Once all broken makeup is in a smooth paste, you need to reshape it using your knife, spoon or spatula.
Let your makeup dry overnight. In the morning it will be back in working order!
